This online course looks at how to design search strategies to capture complex topics and complements our training on advanced search techniques. This online training event will address the challenges of developing search strategies to capture complex topics in large bibliographic databases using different conceptual combinations and search techniques. The training event will also introduce text analytic and text mining techniques to demonstrate their potential for search strategy design and testing. There will also be demonstrations of search translation tools, options to find key papers from sets of search results and non-Boolean search options. There will be opportunities for discussion and information sharing.

After the workshop, participants are welcome to complete exercises offline. The exercises will be discussed in a one hour follow-up session where participants may also ask additional questions or discuss issues arising.

This Advanced Search Strategy course complements our Advanced Searching for Systematic Reviews, HTA and Guideline Development: Techniques and Resources course. You will receive 10% discount when adding both of these courses to the basket.
