Limited budget and healthcare system inefficiencies currently limit the adoption of innovative health technologies in Latin America (LATAM). Therefore, rational budget allocation and selection criteria for their incorporation and use are crucial. In this scenario, real-world evidence (RWE) plays an important role, especially for effectiveness evaluation, safety, and economic analysis. Nevertheless, RWE studies in LATAM are still scarce, with important barriers in usage, interpretation, methodology and data availability.
