Value Communications is the science and art of communicating evidence and value to achieve market access. Value Communications is one of the fastest growing areas in health care; however, it is also the least well developed.
Professionals who work at in or with HEOR, RWE, Market Access and Medical Affairs are being challenged to develop, translate and disseminate value communication tools that meet the customers where they are, and provide them with evidence that is robust, understandable, targeted and impactful.
While there is a substantial body of literature describing the importance of value-based evidence for health care interventions, there is a paucity of research focused on the communication tools used to demonstrate value, including challenges with development, opportunities for use, strengths, and needs of the end customer.
For the 2nd time, HealthEconomics.Com conducted a benchmarking survey of more than 200 professionals in four key populations (value evidence developers, translators, communicators, and recipients) to identify their needs and attitudes toward value communications tools. This 2021 Value Communications survey is summarized in a White Paper, with results being compared with the 2019 data showcasing industry changes in knowledge, attitudes, and unmet needs.
