A white paper published by Xcenda in April analyzes some strengths of Medicare Part B, including how the average sale price (ASP) works to balance patient access and cost control.
“Medicare pays a lower and more transparent rate than other payers, and the way it is currently structured benefits physicians and payments,” the paper states.
The white paper breaks down the other three strengths of Part B:
- Medicare Advantage availability for beneficiaries;
- Inclusion of alternative payment models; and
- The transition toward a more value-based care paradigm.
