HMP Communications recently announced the launch of a new publication, The Journal of Clinical Pathways. The mission of this peer-reviewed publication is to serve as a forum for the exchange of information in the pursuit of attaining quantifiable value in healthcare. Although oncology will play a large role as a topic of interest, the goal of this endeavor is to help determine the best possible care for patients in all disease state treatment settings, balancing the metrics of proven outcomes, limitation of toxicity, and quantifiable value.
The first issue will be in the fall of 2015, for which they are currently accepting submissions on the following topics:
- Health economics outcomes research,
- Real-world data,
- Clinical pathway development,
- Organizing big data,
- Medical ethics,
- Case studies,
- Perspectives from healthcare providers using clinical pathways,
- Patient access.
The editors will be looking for in-depth, evidence-based articles on relevant topics and will follow the high editorial standards for peer-reviewed journals set by the AMA. Contact Kara Rosania, Managing Editor for further information.
