Will Biden Budget Tackle Drug Pricing?

The Biden administration has announced its skinny budget. One major omission was any mention of drug pricing regulation. However, the soon-to-be released full budget is expected to lay out plans for reducing drug costs. Exactly how the administration plans to address high costs remains uncertain and a major point of interest for payers, patients, and pharma.

“Drug pricing is expected to be an offset, but administration officials gave no details Friday on what those offsets will be. The proposal released Friday is the so-called skinny budget, which only includes discretionary spending and does not include tax proposals or mandatory spending on programs like Medicare.” Read more here.
