Widespread Price-Gouging of COVID-19 Tests Continues According to New AHIP Study

A recent study conducted by America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) found that healthcare systems continue to up-charge for COVID-19 tests, between 50% to 100% more than the average price of $130 per test.

AHIP’s Jeanette Thornton remarks, “COVID-19 testing price gouging threatens the progress we are making against this deadly virus, and we urge the Administration, Congress, and policymakers to take deliberate steps to ensure testing is accessible and affordable for all Americans.” Read more here.
