An Aug. 29 webinar sponsored by Myriad Genetics is set to highlight a new initiative from Kroger Prescription Plans aimed at helping patients on their personal health care journeys.
Kroger Prescription Plans announced it would utilize GeneSight, a pharmacogenomic test, at some 2,300 locations.
“Major depressive disorder is a common, disabling and costly mental illness. We are excited to support new interventions such as genetic testing that are aimed at helping people find the right medication,” Kroger Prescription Plans Senior Vice President Rich Adams said in a statement. “We believe the GeneSight test provides valuable genetic information that potentially can lead to transformative care for our members with depression and help them get well sooner.”
