Webinar Spotlights Low-Value Care

A Jan. 15 webinar hosted by the Going Below the Surface Forum, in partnership with AcademyHealth and the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC), shifted the spotlight to low-value care in the U.S., which accounts for some $340 billion in health spend.

NPC CSO and Executive Vice President Robert Dubois moderated the discussion with the Institute for Healthcare Systems’ Jennifer Perloff, AcademyHealth’s Lisa Simpson and Duke University’s Corinna Sorenson.

“With health care spending projected to reach nearly 20% of GDP in the next decade, eliminating low-value care and the associated costs to our health care system is becoming increasingly critical,” a description of the webinar states.
