Walmart Enters Insulin Industry Amid Criticism

Walmart has announced that it will sell a cheaper version of insulin. Although this move is projected to pass substantial savings to customers, the move has faced widespread criticism and disdain.

“The retailer announced it will sell rapid-acting analog insulin, which is a genetically modified form of human insulin, at $72.88 for a vial and $85.88 for a box of injectable pens. By doing so, the company maintained that anyone who pays cash will be able to save up to $101 off a brand-name vial or $251 off a package of five pens.” Read more here.
