Verantos has reportedly launched a new service to net data from electronic health records and process the data through a system that features natural language processing and machine learning capabilities, according to a Pharmaceutical Commerce report.
The company says its looking to use the new service to address two key issues with EHR data:
- How comorbidities impact therapy outcomes; and
- Complications associated with subgroup identification within a disease class that are more receptive to therapy than the whole group.
“Precision medicine rests, in part, on a more accurate identification of patients,” Verantos CEO Dan Riskin said.
