February 3, 2022

The UAE has launched Riayati, its new platform to nationalize medical records across the nation. The database is expected to help improve care by streamlining the sharing of medical data between providers. This project is a joint project between the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, and the Dubai Health Authority.

According to The National News, “The database was established under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. “The launch of the central system, Riayati, comes in line with the UAE’s strategic directions in developing the health sector to improve disease monitoring and management of population health,” said Abdulrahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for FNC Affairs.”
