Trump’s Pre-Election Drug Pricing Order May Not Save Americans Much Money

With little under two months before the 2020 election, President Trump is making his boldest move yet against the pharmaceutical industry. However, it isn’t very likely that his ‘Favored Nations’ order will save Americans any money on prescription drugs before Election Day. The order, which limits how much Medicare pays for drugs based on the prices paid by other developed nations, cannot realistically be implemented by Nov. 3. And even if the president tries to circumvent regulators, any changes would likely be delayed by legal challenges from the pharmaceutical industry. Read more here.
