The European Medicines Agency (EMA) Seeks to Develop Sentinel-Style RWD Database

The European Medicines Agency is soliciting input from organizations interested in developing, operating, and maintaining a healthcare data analysis platform and database network covering the entire EU region. Vibha Sharma reports, “The European Medicines Agency has launched a market survey to identify organizations capable of delivering an ambitious project that would bring together various real-world databases within the EU under a single, secure network. The EMA wants the first version of the proposed Data Analysis and Real-World Interrogation Network, or DARWIN, to become operational by 2023, although the exact date for delivering the project will be subject to confirmation.” Access the full report here.
