Takeda’s Ramona Sequeira and Julie Kim Talk Research and Representation

Women are substantially underrepresented in biotech and pharma, even moreso in executive positions. In a new biospace article, Abbey Glasure speaks with Ramona Sequeira, President of Takeda’s Global Portfolio Division and Julie Kim, president of the companies new U.S. Business Unit and U.S. Country Head. Sequeira notes that her department multifaceted approach with a focus on diversity and inclusion, which she argues improves innovation.

In her new role, Kim will be, “working with Ramona and my executive team colleagues here in the U.S. to champion diversity, equity and inclusion. My goal is to ensure that our company remains a place where employees feel welcome, seen and heard while continuing to advance initiatives that support a path to greater equity and access for our patients in the U.S.”
