A recent analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation shows prices are growing at a faster rate for private health insurers than public insurers.
According to the researchers, inpatient care costs posted 13 percent growth between 2014-18 with private insurance, while public insurance saw only three percent growth.
The report noted patients on private insurance saw the cost of laparoscopic appendectomies increase 136 percent between 2003-16.
