Many experts and health care organizations have voiced for their support for value-based care, but a recent survey found that a majority of physicians remain on the fence about its impact on business and patient care, RevCycleIntelligence reports.
According to the survey by the Doctors Company, about 61 percent of the physicians who responded said that their practices would see some negative impacts from value-based care and reimbursement.
“The EHR was supposed to improve care, but it has done the opposite; value-based care will likely also,” one respondent said, according to the report.
Out of the 3,400 physicians surveyed, 49 percent said value-based care and reimbursement would be detrimental to patient care.
