Report: Gene Therapies Could Add $45B to Health Costs

A new report from CVS Health suggests gene therapies could add an additional $45 billion to health care costs over the next five years, BioWorld reports.
CVS in its report says that number is ultimately a rough estimate based on a number of uncertainties.
“Estimating the precise cost impact of gene therapies is very complicated and challenging,” the report states.
