A recent report by the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC) found 2017 was a solid year for precision medicine.
According to a report on Results Healthcare, some 16 new personalized medicine products received Food and Drug Administration approval out of 46 products.
“The growing list of personalized medicines available to doctors and their patients also includes many significant new personalized medicine indications for previously approved drugs in 2017,” the PMC report says. “These approvals redefine the drugs’ intended populations and provide patients with more effective personalized treatment options.
