ISPOR will host a short course on June 29th and 30th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT each day. This course will focus on identifying and overcoming challenges related to risk-sharing for pharma and payers. The session will include a case study to highlight opportunities and barriers to a pay-for-performance approach.
“With the significant and growing interest among both the payers and producers of medical products for arrangements that involve a “pay-for-performance” or “risk-sharing” element, payment schemes have been developed that involve a plan by which the performance of the product is tracked in a defined patient population over a specified timeframe and the level of reimbursement is tied by formula to the outcomes achieved. Although these agreements have an intrinsic appeal, there can be substantial barriers to their implementation.” Learn more here.
