A recent post on the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals’ (ISMPP) MAP Newsletter discusses some best practices for handling internal and external participation in publication planning.
“In general, a cross-functional global medical team, consisting of a publication or scientific communications lead plus medical directors and clinical trial leads, needs to work with a variety of other internal stakeholders,” the post states.
Those stakeholders include:
- Country/regional medical colleagues;
- Medical science liasons;
- Research and development;
- Biostatisticians; and
- Team members responsible for interactions with patient organizations.
