PhRMA has launched a new ad campaign as part of its Let’s Talk About Cost effort which aims shine a spotlight on how copay accumulator programs could lead to higher-than-expected medical costs.
According to PhRMA, the ads will be featured in “print, radio, digital and social channels in Washington, D.C., and select states.”
“Middlemen, like insurers and pharmacy benefit managers … are marketing accumulator programs in a misleading way to suggest they will provide greater cost protection for patients when the reality is the opposite,” PhRMA says.
