Patients Rising Initiative Issues Statement on Federal Healthcare Programs and Payer Coverage

The Patient Access and Affordability Project Patients Rising Project, a Patients Rising program, recently issued a statement regarding federal programs and ongoing healthcare challenges. Payer coverage decisions that impact access to care, health equity, and lead to excessive healthcare costs all contribute to overburdened patients and poor outcomes. Patients Rising detailed several solutions that would improve transparency, reform financial incentives for payers, and ultimately improve healthcare.
