Parexel and Datavant are joining forces as Parexel looks to connect its data generated from studies to a range of real-world data sources, including electronic health records and claims and diagnostics, Endpoints News reports.
The data, according to the report, will be deidentified.
“(O)ne of the most significant barriers to generating real-world evidence is overcoming limitations of single data sources,” Jamie Macdonald, Parexel’s chief executive, said in a statement. “Partnering with Datavant has provided Parexel the ability to link disparate data sets to drive the complex analyses necessary for providing innovative scientific and clinical data strategies.”
