Oscar Health’s $3 Drug List Looks to Boost Adherence, Lower Pricing

In an effort to bolster patients’ medication adherence while also reducing drug spending, Oscar Health developed the $3 Drug List.

According to a HealthPayerIntelligence report, the list includes 100 drugs that a team of researchers identified as “maintenance medications” — drugs that patients take in addition to other drugs.

“We believe that there is a set of cost-effective, affordable medications that everyone should have access to,” Oscar Health Vice President of Pharmaceuticals Vinod Mitta tells HealthPayerIntelligence. “By standardizing it, not just for certain plan types, but all plan types within a given geography, we also simplify the lives of our members, our brokers, our prescribers.”
