NPC: ‘Ready, aim, fire’ Mentality Detrimental in Health Care

June 25, 2020

Having a “ready, aim, fire” mentality can prove harmful when sharing health care information, the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC) writes in a recent blog post.

NPC points to the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review’s (ICER) report on COVID-19 treatments, calling it “a prime example of rushed information.”

“Now is not the time to ‘ready, fire and then aim’ when it comes to health care,” NPC writes. “There is plenty of room for an evidence-based, meaningful dialogue.”

NPC is set to host a webinar on COVID-19 drug prices. The event is set for 3:30 p.m. EST July 14.
