NIH Expands Precision Medicine Program to Improve Understanding of COVID-19

The National Institute of Health’s All of Us precision medicine program announced an expanded initiative aimed at generating insights into the spread and effects of COVID-19, according to a HealthITAnalytics report.

According to the report, All of Us will test some 10,000 blood samples from March and work their way back until there are no more positives.

“Collectively, these efforts are an important step toward helping researchers learn more about COVID-19 and its impact on different communities across the United States,” All of Us CMO and CSO Kelly Gebo said.
