New Prescryptive Health PBM Reduces Drug Costs Using EHR Data and Promotes Transparency

Amid growing criticism regarding pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), one new startup is entering the crowded space. Prescryptive Health aims to reduce drug prices in a transparent manner, including identifying cheaper prescriptions drugs using electronic health record (EHR) data and unbiased algorithms.

“The recommendations are algorithm-driven and have been analyzed by a clinical team. The process is updated any time there’s a new drug on the market or new research is released about existing ones, the company said.
