New ISPOR Good Practices Report Includes Guidelines for Cost Analyses

April 13, 2021

ISPOR has released a new report on how to conduct systematic reviews with cost and cost-effectiveness outcomes (SRs-CCEOs). Mandrik et al. suggest that a standardized methodology, although challenging, would improve study design and data interpretation. The report includes six recommendations on reducing bias when it comes to carrying out high-quality SRs-CCEOs.

“Making universal recommendations for SR-CCEOs is difficult because they differ in several aspects, in particular, with regard to their objectives, eg synthesizing outcomes or assessing the quality of models, search and inclusion criteria, or in reporting solely economic characteristics or economic data alongside clinical outcomes.” Read more here.
