Narayanan: RWD Not a Replacement for Clinical Trials

In a recent interview with the American Journal of Managed Care (AMJC), COTA Healthcare Vice President of Life Sciences Viraj Narayanan says real-world data can be used to supplement clinical trials, not replace them.

“I think one of the most common myths or misconceptions we hear is that real-world data is going to replace clinical trials,” he says. “I certainly do not hold that perspective. I think it’s going to be augmenting and supplementing traditional clinical trial information.”
