MAPS Taking ‘Necessary Precautions’ Amid Coronavirus Concerns

March 2, 2020

The Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) is taking “all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety” of the attendees of its upcoming meeting set to kick off March 8 in Miami.

In a statement, MAPS said individuals from countries impacted by the coronavirus who had planned to attend the MAPS 2020 Annual Meeting have canceled their plans.

“We are closely monitoring developments and staying abreast of updates from health organizations responsible for tracking and responding to the virus, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC),” MAPS said. “We want to assure anyone planning to attend the MAPS 2020 Annual Meeting that their health, safety, and security is our top priority.”
