Major Telehealth Companies Team Up In Preparation of Tightening Regulations

Companies providing telehealth services and platforms are teaming up with lobbyists to push back against the retightening of regulations loosened during the COVID-19 pandemic. This comes as legislators decide which regulatory changes that allowed for the telehealth boom will expire. The companies and lobbyists, now working together under the Telehealth Access for America campaign, are pushing back against skepticism regarding whether telehealth is truly accessible.

According to a StatNews article by Rachel Cohrs, “Telehealth Access for America is arguing that the increased use of telehealth has made it popular with voters. The group commissioned a poll released Tuesday that found that 66% of respondents viewed telehealth positively, compared with 14% of respondents who viewed it negatively. Of respondents who had used telehealth services, 90% reported they had a good experience.”
