Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky says he’s looking forward to working with Amazon as it continues its focused push into the health care industry.
Gorsky recently discussed the tech giant’s health care ambitions with Fortune’s Susie Gharib, according to a FiercePharma report, and said that recent mergers and buyouts indicated “there is a lot of pressure in the system right now.”
“We have conversations at all levels going on with Amazon,” he said. “I think Jeff (Bezos) and as importantly Amazon is a very innovative organization, and they see this as an opportunity to make a difference.”
The executive said J&J is optimistic about its relationship with Amazon moving forward.
“Just as we are partnering with them today in areas of our consumer products, we’ll look forward to partnering with them in the future on some of these other areas, as well.”
