March 15, 2021

ISPOR has begun a new program on next generation innovation called ‘Signal’ that provides insight into healthcare decisions in the next ten years. The inaugural event will take place on April 27th from 10 AM to 11 AM EDT and feature speakers from the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Scott Ramsey, director of the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR) and former ISPOR president will host the event. Dr. Ryan Vega, chief officer of the Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning in the VHA (Veterans Health Administration) will share his thoughts, along with Dr. Kenneth Kizer, chief healthcare transformation officer and senior executive vice president of Atlas Research.

“Innovation has been widely advocated for as the solution to healthcare’s rising costs and unsatisfying outcomes. However, an abundance of innovative healthcare products and practices have neither produced dramatic improvements in care nor spread at the pace and scale needed to transform care or materially bend the healthcare cost curve. This Signal event will explore successful practical approaches to development and deployment of innovation in healthcare process leading to improved outcomes while producing sustainable results across the healthcare system.” Learn more and register here.
