The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research announced Thursday that its flagship journal, Value in Health, had hit an impact factor of 5.494 on new data from Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Reports.
According to a press release, the increase marks the fifth straight year the publication has posted double-digit growth in its impact factor.
“The growth and prominence of Value in health reflects the increased understanding and use of health economics and outcomes research studies in healthcare decision making,” ICER CEO and Executive Director Nancy Berg said in a statement.
Value in Health, according to Clarivate Analytics’ report, is ranked:
- 3rd among 94 journals in Health Care Sciences and Services;
- 3rd among 79 journals in Health Policy and Services; and
- 6th among 353 journals in Economics.
