ISPOR Signal Series: The New Science of Cause and Effect

The next ISPOR Signal series event will feature Judea Pearl, professor of computer science and director of the Cognitive Systems Laboratory at UCLA. In a talk hosted by professor William Crown of Brandeis University, Pearl will talk about causal models in modern science, informed by his groundbreaking work on AI and Bayesian networks. The event will take place on January 25th, 2022 and will begin at 10:00AM EST.

According to ISPOR, “Dr Pearl will make a presentation on how causal models interact with data and work in scientific applications today, spanning the subjects of selection bias, personalized treatment effect, fusion of data from several sources (observational and experimental studies), and causality in observational studies.”
