Researchers have long believed in the idea that the body’s immune system had the potential to fight cancer, if only we could turn it against the disease. Today, some cancer patients are finding real success with immunotherapies, even after other treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiation failed, but it doesn’t work the for every patient, or every cancer.
