With the hype of artificial intelligence (AI) in full force, health care organizations are juggling priorities as they prepare for the long-term impact of innovative technologies.
Experts at the 2019 World Medical Innovation Forum, however, said the system is not doing enough to prepare, and Seema Verma, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator, tells HealthITAnalytics that “we are at a turning point.”
“The timing is right for true digital transformation,” she said. “Artificial intelligence is maturing. Data interoperability is starting to improve. The drivers of consumer-focused health care are getting stronger.”
