Health Affairs Pathways Podcast: ED Clinicians and Emergency Psychiatric Care

Amidst the ballooning mental health crisis that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency department clinicians face an uphill battle when caring for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises. With some hospital systems still straining under the weight of COVID care, finding space and resources for inpatient care is becoming increasingly fraught.
