Ghostwriting, Co-Reviewing in Peer-Review

April 27, 2020

The Publication Plan in a recent blog post highlights a study on ghostwriting and co-reviewing in peer review of manuscripts.

The study found that 95 percent of respondents believed co-reviewing was a beneficial (95 percent) and ethical (73 percent) training method in peer review.

Despite 81 percent of respondents describing ghostwriting as unethical, roughly half said they had ghostwritten a peer review report.
