Equitably Providing COVID-19 Vaccines to People Experiencing Homelessness

April 2, 2021

Abt Associates collaborated with HUD (the Department of Housing and Urban Development), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control, and local COCs (Continuums of Care) to prioritize people experiencing homelessness when it comes to COVID-19 vaccine access. The Abt Associates technical assistance team worked closely with these partners to streamline the vaccination process across communities in several states.

“When COVID hit, part of the team’s work shifted to helping 30 cities and counties around the country manage the influx of $4 billion in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding via the CARES Act. As vaccines have become available, Abt is helping communities ensure that people experiencing homelessness are prioritized for vaccination efforts.” Learn more here.
