Epic Chief Urges Hospital CEOs Oppose Proposal

Epic CEO Judy Faulkner in an email sent to hospital CEOs and presidents urged recipients to rally behind the medical records company as it pushes against proposed legislation aimed at improving patient access to their health data, Fierce Healthcare reports.
According to the report, the email sought signatures for a letter expressing disapproval of the rules proposed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“We are concerned that health care costs will rise, that care will suffer and that patients and their family members will lose control of their confidential health information,” the letter states.
