Electronic Health Record Startup Seeks to Streamline RWD

Electronic health records (EHRs) are a rich, but often frustrating, source of data. PicnicHealth CEO Noga Leviner describes the process by which her company collects a patient’s medical history. This process includes countless phone calls, faxes, and an increasing use of machine learning. The company’s overall goal is to allow users to draw conclusions based on collected data, rather than spend time searching for information.

Leviner remarks, “What we’d love to spend our time on is taking the data and making meaning out of it. Instead we spend a lot of time just getting a hold of it and doing the basic work of cleaning and structuring.” Read more here.
