Deep Web Technologies (DWT) announced the launch of its new evidence-based medicine search engine for medical libraries, Explorit! EBM.
Acccording to a press release, the tool “enables librarians to offer their end users access to the entire library collection with one tool.”
Eplorit! EBM offers librarians:
- Vendor-neutral search results;
- Reinforces the EBM methodology; and
- Increases content utilization.
For clinicians, residents and medical students, the tool provides “rapid Access to journal articles, textbooks, and evidence-based products such as DynaMed Plus.”
“Explorit! EBM is unique in the world of one-stop medical search in that it reinforces the EBM model and it does so with a laser focus,” DWT CEO Abe Lederman says in the release. “We customize searches by specialty and organize results by the level of the pyramid, making it easy to drill down to specific evidence first or to obtain broad general information, depending on the practitioner’s knowledge of the condition.”
