CVS Eliminates 72 Hyperinflated Drugs, Saving $1.2 Billion in 2020

CVS has removed 72 high-priced drugs from its formulary. This move has led to $1.2 billion in savings last year as hyperinflated drug prices continue to drive up healthcare costs.

Prem Shah, executive vice president of specialty pharmacy at CVS Health, “Our clients’ expectation is that we eliminate this wasted spend,” adding, “It’s something we’re actively doing.” Read more here.
