During the 2020 Aetion Summit, invited speaker Amy Abernathy, MD, PHD, was invited to give her perspective on real world evidence in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This conversation was timely as greater thought has been given to how reporting data for COVID-19 vaccines will be collected and analyzed.
According to Dr. Abernathy, “Historically, we’ve talked about RWE as if it was a small group of research methods and types of questions that could be answered. The biggest post-pandemic change is this broad widening of our thinking about how RWD can answer many types of questions.” Learn more here.
