Co-Authors Lead Upcoming Webinar on Transitioning to a Value-Based System

May 24, 2021

Prescription drug prices continue to rise in the United States, leading to an excessive cost burden placed on patients. A webinar on transitioning to a value-based healthcare system will take place on June 24th at 12:00 PM EST. Duke University Senior Policy Fellow Susan Dentzer will invite three authors to discuss their new book, published on May 20th, on finding solutions to high drug costs. Director of the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk (CEVR) in Health Peter Neumann, CEVR Deputy Director Joshua Cohen and CEVR Director of Value Measurement and Global Health Initiatives Daniel Ollendorf draw on their extensive backgrounds to lead an in-depth discussion.

“Please join us on June 24th from 12-12:45 pm Eastern Time for a special webinar to discuss the new book, The Right Price: A Value-Based Prescription for Drug Costs (Oxford University Press, 2021). The webinar will be moderated by Susan Dentzer and will feature the book’s co-authors: Peter Neumann, Josh Cohen, and Dan Ollendorf. The speakers will discuss what it means to achieve value-based prices, and how the US can achieve them. The book is available from Oxford and Amazon.” Register here.
