Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics Director Len Nichols offered a tribute to former health economics titan Uwe Reinhardt, who died in November 2017, during the conclusion of a recent AcademyHealth meeting, the Incidental Economist reports.
Nichols said Reinhardt was a student of all religions and of human behavior.”
“He relished weaving his expansive knowledge of both into discussions of health economics or health policy issues, with his characteristic wit, whenever possible,” Nichols said during his tribute.
Reinhardt’s ability to remain humble while dispensing great wisdom, Nichols said, created a voice “designed to make each of us examine choices we have made and will make.”
