Celgene Head of Patient Associations and Institutional Patient Programs Jessica Leygues recently discussed patient engagement and early development during an interview with eyeforpharma.
“Earlier means a lot earlier — not only for development, but in the way that we went to support patients in their day-to-day lives,” Leygues said. “Engaging with patient organizations is not difficult — but helping their voices be hear by institutions and payers, that’s what counts.
Celgene, according to eyeforpharma, is preparing to launch a personalized patient support programin multiple myeloma, which was co-created with the French Association for Multiple Myeloa Patients.
“We wanted to do something quite different,” Leygues said. “This is the first time in France that a pharma company has co-led a support program with a patient organization, and we are very certain this initiative will be of significant benefit for patients, but also for institutions.”
