December 15, 2021

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health’s (CADTH) 2020-2021 annual report was themed “unprecedented.” The authors break down the CADTH’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the report focuses a large part of its attention on the dedicated efforts of the organization’s members, including health economists, methodologists, researchers, committees, medical librarians, and implementation support officers.

According to President and CEO Suzanne McGurn, “As I reflect on the past year and look hopefully toward the future, I’m aware that the pandemic has permanently shifted how CADTH — and other health technology assessment agencies — conducts its work. The crisis amplified the challenges and opportunities involved with prioritizing access to optimal and sustainable health care.”
